I just finished the latest season of "silo". these days, I have been recommending it to anyone looking for something to watch. I think it is a show that offers a lot of interesting insights into human nature and society from many different angles.

I keep seeing ads for europe's payment system WERO everywhere and it makes me happy. even though it is not exactly a card network and there is a fair chance it could fail, at least there is an initiative.

the fact that in 2026, most payment transactions across europe are still going through visa/mastercard, that the united states benefits from a portion of every payment and could take europe back to the stone age by cutting it off from these networks is pretty wild.

it needs to become widespread as soon as possible and regulation should push it along a bit (the one thing europe is really good at).

in the last week, I took 5 flights and spent time in 5 airports. unpopular opinion: I love airports.

I love how it is completely normal for people in shorts and people in coats to be around each other, how they are designed similarly universally, how time seems to flow differently from the outside, and how they have this science fiction PORTAL zone atmosphere.

a futuristic fashion claim: a day will come when wearing two different shoes will become fashionable among young people.

two different socks are the footsteps of this.

berlin is many things. before coming here and after arriving, I heard so much about its diversity, alternative culture, nightlife, public transportation, being the biggest city in the EU and many many other things.

but no one told me that the city is completely flat and that you can see the TV Tower from almost everywhere. I never expected the absence of hills and having a landmark visible from every corner to bring me this much joy.

I will save my appreciation for Spati culture for another time.
