This is a little corner of the internet where I leave pieces of myself. I am a Software Engineer living in Berlin. thoughts is my microblog (like tweets) and probably where I will post most often. posts are longer, old-school blog articles. I will likely publish these much less frequently. photos is where I occasionally share pictures I take. How often? Time will tell.
in the last week, I took 5 flights and spent time in 5 airports. unpopular opinion: I love airports.
I love how it is completely normal for people in shorts and people in coats to be around each other, how they are designed similarly universally, how time seems to flow differently from the outside, and how they have this science fiction PORTAL zone atmosphere.
a futuristic fashion claim: a day will come when wearing two different shoes will become fashionable among young people.
two different socks are the footsteps of this.
berlin is many things. before coming here and after arriving, I heard so much about its diversity, alternative culture, nightlife, public transportation, being the biggest city in the EU and many many other things.
but no one told me that the city is completely flat and that you can see the TV Tower from almost everywhere. I never expected the absence of hills and having a landmark visible from every corner to bring me this much joy.
I will save my appreciation for Spati culture for another time.
